Are you a real go-getter and would you like to travel throughout the Netherlands to different companies to inventory the entire store? Or maybe you’re looking for a job where you can work together with your friends? Then stop looking, because we have the perfect job for you!

As an inventory assistant you will work together with a team of minimum 5 and maximum 40 colleagues (depending on the size of the store). Together with the team you make sure that the entire stock is scanned. You’ll be working at different companies, for example: ICI Paris, Kruidvat, Media Markt etc.

Before you start you will be invited to the headquarters which is located in Nieuwegein. Here you will follow a one-day training. During this training you will learn how to use the scanner and you will have to complete a counting test. If you pass this test, you will receive your schedule with your working days and hours. You can also find on your schedule the exact time you are expected at the meeting point. Here you will be picked up by the driver and travel to the client. After your shift you will also be dropped of at this meeting point.

For this position as an inventory assistant it is important that you are available for at least 5 months and that you communicate your availability at least 3 weeks in advance.

Job requirements

As an inventory assistant, the following is expected of you:

  • you are at least 2 days a week available for the next 5 months;
  • you can join the one-day training which is given on Friday;
  • you are available immediately;
  • you live in the surroundings of Deventer (biking distance of max. 20 minutes from Deventer Central Station);
  • You are trustworthy and accurate.

Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
