As an inventory employee, you are going to count the stock for various stores located in the Netherlands.
On a workday you will meet with your colleagues at a central point in Groningen between 12:00 and 14:00. You will travel to the location that you are going to count the inventory at. The transportation is arranged and you will be traveling with your co-workers.
One shift you might be working in a supermarket and the other shift you might be working in a large warehouse. The locations may vary, but your work stays the same!
This is no problem for you because you like to work in a routine.

The locations can be further away from Groningen. So it is important that you do not mind a bit of travel for your work. You are paid for the traveltime after half an hour.
In general a shift takes around 5 hours and you are back in Groningen later in the evening.

Your work is to create a clear image of the amount of products a store has at a certain moment. You are going to count the products with a handscanner. Before you are going to start your work as an inventory employee, you will learn everything you need to know during a one-day training.
This training takes place on a Friday in Nieuwegein. Your workplanning is flexible and based on your own availability. You can be planned in during the week but also on weekends. The planning is made three weeks in advance and there is a minimum of two/three shifts a week.

  • You are available for a trainingday on a Friday in Nieuwegein:
  • You can be planned in for at least 2 or 3 shifts a week;
  • You work accurate and precise;
  • You like to travel for your work;
  • You like to work in a routine;
  • You have a drivers license B;

You will work for a large organisation that specializes in retailers. They offer services for stores with larger stocks. The company you are going to work for has locations in 40 countries across the globe. Your worklocations can range from drugstores to electronics companies.

Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
