This is more elaborate that it might sound, you work together with the third party vendors to reach the best solutions for the best price in the best planning.
Your main contracts are third party manufactures with whom we have rebranding contracts. The companies you work with are located in both Europe and Greater Chine. Because of the magnitude of the cooperation, a large part of your work contains getting the right goods at the right place in the right time.
You might select new potential vendors and manufactures for future cooperation. These buying decisions are not only based on price of course, but also very much on quality, operational speed and reliability. You can really make a difference in the way we work with our partners.
Advantech is ready to teach you everything you need to know, but they are looking for someone with a background is commercial purchasing. It doesn’t really matter whether you’ve learned this in school, university or over the years in your career so far. What is most important is your attitude and willingness to learn. You’re assertive, communicative and steadfast. You’re not afraid to do things wrong, because you can only learn from making mistakes.
Most of the contacts they have are in English, but German is becoming quite an important language for this role. We expect of you to be fluent in at least one of these two languages.
