For our client Abbott Vascular in Heerlen, we are immediately looking for a full-time Label Operator.

As a new operator, you will start pasting labels and adding ifus (instructions for use). These tasks are later expanded with, for example, the creation of medical labels and the correct administration in the information system. Abbott also offers countless growth opportunities. For example, there are regular intake times for internally organized MBO courses.

You will continue to focus on the following day tasks:

  • Creating and printing medical labels, including product labels, import labels, pricing labels, etc.
  • Labelling/labelling medical products;
  • Adding user manuals (IFUs) to medical products;
  • Filling in documents in accordance with established procedures;
  • Processing data in the computer and working with information systems;
  • Ensuring high, international quality standards.

Job requirements

To perform the day to day tasks ,as mentioned above, and function correctly and with pleasure, we ask the following of you:

  • You have at least a completed MBO education;
  • You have good computer skills;
  • You have sufficient knowledge of the English language;
  • You are a real team player, but you can also work independently.
  • You preferably have experience in logistics.

About the company

Abbott Vascular located in Heerlen is a global player in the market of medical products where the impression lies on the stents. These are small tubes that are put in a blood vein. To sell these products, international legislation and rules must be complied with. As a label operator, you contribute to the careful application of labels and leaflets so that these legal requirements are met.

Every day you will process products for global hospitals, where accuracy and quality are paramount at all times. You are expected to be able to work at a long-term concentrated, paced pace in a dynamic working environment. At Abbott Vascular Netherlands you work in a team of motivated colleagues who contribute daily to products to improve the health and well-being of patients

What we offer

This temporary employment can possibly be converted into an employment for a longer period of time. This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week, where the hourly wage is €10.50 brute per hour. In addition, you are entitled to 25 vacation days, 8.33% holiday pay, of which 0.33% is paid net and you are entitled to a holiday allowance in accordance with the CLA. In addition, you will receive an annual salary increase based on your functioning.

In addition, you will work in a clean working environment where you contribute to the health and well-being of people all over the world together with a team! You do this because every medical product you prepare is equivalent to one patient who gets a better and easier life as a result.

Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
In The Netherlands, it is not allowed to charge money for job placement services. Therefore, our services are free.
