About the position
We are looking for an independent and driven logistics employee for our client Scheuten Glas in Venlo.

Insulating glass is made within this production location. As a logistics employee in the glass industry you are part of the forwarding department. Together with your colleagues you will collect, pack and load the produced orders. You are also responsible for supplying the production lines. For this you sometimes use a forklift.

The glass industry logistics employee will process a lot of data in the order and registration system. In addition, you are physically busy placing the glass plates on the right supports for glass. So you cannot escape physical labor. But we can assure you that there are sufficient resources to perform these activities in a safe and healthy way.

Let your curiosity take over and get to know all the processes of the glass industry logistics employee. If you are eager to learn and like variety, then this is the workplace for you. That makes it so much fun and you can also make yourself indispensable. It is not so important that you have a specific education. A correct work attitude and the eagerness to learn new things, makes us enthusiastic.

We cannot escape a few basic conditions and these are the following:

You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and or German language;
Only English is not sufficient for this job.
You have knowledge of working with computers;
You have experience with logistics processes;
You have experience with forklift truck driving or the willingness to learn this and obtain a certificate for this;
You are willing to work in 2 shifts.

You will work in one of Scheuten's factories in Venlo. It's nearby the city and easy to reach from Roermond, Helmond, Venray and Horst.

What we offer
You will initially work via Start People through an employment contract and together with Scheuten we will closely monitor your development. We look at what you need to grow. Evaluation interviews ensure that you know where you stand and what you can work on and what your future will look like. This way you will never be faced with surprises.

You start working full-time and you start with a salary of approximately EUR Netto €1850,- (€2167.00 gross) including shift work allowance for working in 2 shifts. The working times of the shifts are from 05:30 untill 14:00 and from 14:00 until 22:30. Every year in January you will receive an additional periodical salary increase. Your salary will therefore continue to grow in the coming years. A good travel allowance will also not be missing.

You are part of a permanent team and therefore you work with the same team leader and colleagues every day. You work an early shift and a week late shift. At many companies you have to wait every week to see what your planning looks like. That is not the case with Scheuten. Your schedule is already known for the whole year, so you can also combine private and work well.
It's a work with a possability to earn a permanent contract (Tijdelijk contract met uitzicht op vast)

You are more than welcome at our office in Venlo, where our recruiters can talk to you in either Dutch, English, German and/or Polish.
If you work via Start People it is possible to, I some cases,  use one of our collective health insurance policies. However, if you want to stay in The Netherlands for a longer period of time, we advise you to arrange health insurance yourself.  
Some companies we work with only offer day shifts, but the most companies offer several shifts (morning-, day and night shifts). It is often not possible to work structurally in one specific shift.
Unfortunately, one of these three languages is required to find a job via Start People. It is important that you can communicate with our colleagues and your manager at work.
Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
In The Netherlands, it is not allowed to charge money for job placement services. Therefore, our services are free.
