About the job

As manager operations innovation you will work at the European headquarters of our clients large international company.
As part of the Operations team you will take care of the operational and innovation activities.
You are responsible for managing various accounts such as IT, OPS, Innovation and Contract and you lead the communication between the Headquarters in Korea and 16 local sales subsidiaries asking them for input from all logistics teams in Europe.

In addition, you know everything about logistics activities in Europe and you advise management to improve logistics operations.
Your most important activities are:

  • Acting as Account Manager for the IT, Operations, Innovations and Contracts components;
  • Communication leader between different (head) offices;
  • Managing innovation projects, in collaboration with different departments, head office and local sales subsidiaries;
  • Perform KPI analyzes and improve operations and processes;
  • Perform cost-saving logistic result calculations and prepare reports;
  • IRRE Management.

Job requirements

You are someone with a strong result driven mindset and extensive managerial experience. You have strong communication, persuasion, negotiation and analytical skills. You describe yourself as:

  • Independent: Able to plan own projects and set priorities;
  • Responsible: Able to work towards and meet deadlines;
  • Quality: Accurate with an eye for detail;
  • Sensitivity: Strong communicator, cultural awareness.

You have:

  • A Master Degree in Logistics/SCM;
  • Around 5 years working experience in a relevant role with Logistics / Supply Chain;
  • Extended knowledge of SCM/Logistics;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • A proficient level of English and Korean;
  • The ability and will to travel.

Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
