What will you do as an order picker at Geodis Almere?

Black Friday and the holidays are upon us! For Geodis Almere this means the processing of many online orders from the web shops! Geodis is a major player in logistics. They have a large location in Almere! Geodis serves various customers, they mainly manage the web shops! Geodis, for example, is responsible for the Prenatal webshop, where many orders will be received in the near future. As an order picker employee at Geodis, you are working in the Geodis warehouse every day. You are responsible for picking the outgoing goods ordered through the webshop on a daily basis. Due to the action days, a lot of crowds are expected! You scan the goods by means of a scanner and an EPT Truck. When you start working as an order picker, you come into contact with various types of goods. You are a fast worker and, together with your colleagues, you know how to make the process of incoming and outgoing goods run as smoothly as possible! In the department you will have to deal with a high speed of order picking. A lot of orders are processed in the department every day.

What we offer

You will work at the Geodis location in Almere. You can easily reach the location by car. Are you coming by public transport? Check if you live near Almere, the location is a bit more difficult to travel to by public transport. The position can be filled full-time for 40 hours a week. During the peak period of the orders you can work in a shift roster. The salary for this position is € 10.93 gross per hour excluding ADV allowance. Initially, the position was put in place until the end of the year. Are you in the right place and is your work going well? Then there is a chance of extension for a longer period of time. If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
