For the company ID Logistics we are looking for order pickers for the Makro department in Tilburg. Are you looking for a job at a company where you are central, where you have the opportunity to grow and where you work together with your colleagues in an informal working atmosphere? Then ID Logistics is the right place for you!

As an order picker for the Makro department, you will work with the low lop or EPT. A low lop is an easy way to move pallets, you shuffle the pallets on the low lop to get them in the right place. You cannot sit on a low lop, so you are lagging behind. In the Makro warehouse you will mainly find pallets with products. This is the reason that a low lop or EPT is generally used, with which the pallets can easily be moved to the right place in the warehouse or the right dock for transport. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that Makro's logistics process runs smoothly and that Makro stores receive the correct stock on time. It might be good to know that the work can be experienced as physically demanding, you walk a lot and the products you work with are generally heavier.

The work is in three shifts, namely from 06:00 - 15:00, 15:00 - 00:00. The times for the third shift are not yet completely clear because the customer is currently arranging this third shift, probably the times are between 22:00 and 07:00.

We also appreciate it if you are flexible in working hours, so that you want to work a little longer during busier periods or want to come for an extra day, but of course this is always done in consultation.

About the company

You will be working for the company ID Logistics in Tilburg for the Makro department. ID Logistics is a large international logistics service provider for customers such as Makro, Nespresso, Media Markt, Intratuin etc.

The department where you will be working is therefore Makro. Makro has stores throughout the Netherlands and mainly sells to catering, they sell food in large quantities. It is not possible to buy one bottle of drink at Makro, you can only get large quantities there, which is why mainly the catering industry buys from Makro. In the warehouse you therefore mainly work with food and drinks in large quantities. The Makro stores pass on their orders, usually per pallet, but it may also be that they need a smaller number of a certain product, then this is also picked in the warehouse in order to keep track of store stock.

On the work floor there is an informal working atmosphere and you work together with your colleagues on Makro's logistics process. The team consists of helpful and friendly colleagues who work hard, but there is also time for a chat among themselves. The warehouse has a large canteen, where you can relax and play a game with your colleagues during breaks. For example, there is a football table in the canteen.
The feedback we regularly receive from flex workers about the work at Makro is that the working atmosphere is very pleasant and that there is good cooperation with colleagues. In addition, we also hear that the warehouse is very organized and that it works very well.

What we offer

  • A gross hourly wage of €10.98 (excluding allowances);
  • After 18:00 a surcharge of 20%, after 00:00 a surcharge of 40% and on Sunday 150%;
  • Travel allowance from 10 km one way with a maximum of €6.42 per day;

Some companies we work with only offer day shifts, but the most companies offer several shifts (morning-, day and night shifts). It is often not possible to work structurally in one specific shift.
Unfortunately, one of these three languages is required to find a job via Start People. It is important that you can communicate with our colleagues and your manager at work.
Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in.

You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
