Start People is happy to introduce you our client at Koningsbosch named Xella. Are you looking for a raw production company that works in 3 shifts? Then dont stop reading.
Xella is originally a German company that has several branches in Netherlands. Here we make sand-lime bricks starting from a bit of sand and ending with custom sand-lime bricks according to the costomers wishes.

At the moment we have several positions open, such as:

  • Sawmill operator;
    In the sawmill department, the sand-lime bricks are cut to size according to the customer's wishes. This happens partly with older machines and partly with robot-controlled machines. As an operator, you are responsible for ensuring that this runs smoothly.
  • Press shop operator;
    At the Press Shop you are responsible for the following activities;
  • Operating presses for the production of sand-lime brick products;
  • Operate the supply and removal of empty/full trolley transport:
  • Heftruck drivers;
    You as a forklift driver are responsible for placing the sand-lime bricks on the assigned location but also making orders ready for transport.
    You do this on the basis of orders you will receive from their planning.
    It is important that you have experience of driving 4 and 8 ton heftrucks.

Job requirements

What we ask for you:

  • That you have a technical diploma similar level as MBO 3 / MBO 4;
  • Work experience in a production environment is a plus;
  • Are willing to work in a 3 shift system;
  • Are available full time (36.25 hours a week);
  • That you quickly recognize problems and solve them decisively;
  • That you take safety rules seriously and don't lose you focus of it while working;
  • That you have VCA or are willing to get it;
  • If you have Vapro B in your possession. This is an advantage;

And another high importance competency we are looking for are: independence, preciseness, motivated attitude, and the last but not least accurate way of working.

Xella Nederland BV is a company that distinguishes itself in the construction world. It is known as the specialist in building with sand-lime brick, aerated concrete and insulating with mineral insulation boards, in both residential and non-residential construction. With this in mind, Xella carries the premium brands Silka Kalkzandsteen, Ytong and Hebel xellenbeton and Multiport mineral insulation boards.

Xella has several factories in the Netherlands, including two factories in Limburg. Things such as safe working, Operational Excellence, customer focus and sustainability are the things that are central to its strategy. All of the processes inside Xella are focussed on quality, correct delivery and in time delivery of the construction sites to the building locations of their clients.

At Xella you will work in one of the market leaders in the field of sand-lime brick and cellon concrete. Xella products are shipped all over the world for use. Xella is closed during the construction period and the last 2 weeks of the year. During the period, a mandatory closure applies.

What we offer

We offer you:

  • A temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent contract when you do a good job;
  • The hourly wage is € 13.60 gross per hour;
  • 20% shift allowance for each worked hour. This brings you up to € 14.20 per hour.
  • 25 vacation days per year and 8.33% holiday pay.

Next to this you will receive a periodic salary increase every year for good performance.
You will also receive a travel allowance from 5KM and up. The amount you will receive depends on the km you need to drive;

Yes, we are a member of ABU: the branch organization of the temporary employment sector. This organization guarantees that its members act according to the Dutch law. 
You are more than welcome at our office in Venlo, where our recruiters can talk to you in either Dutch, English, German and/or Polish.
If you work via Start People it is possible to, I some cases,  use one of our collective health insurance policies. However, if you want to stay in The Netherlands for a longer period of time, we advise you to arrange health insurance yourself.  
Some companies we work with only offer day shifts, but the most companies offer several shifts (morning-, day and night shifts). It is often not possible to work structurally in one specific shift.
Unfortunately, one of these three languages is required to find a job via Start People. It is important that you can communicate with our colleagues and your manager at work.
Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
In The Netherlands, it is not allowed to charge money for job placement services. Therefore, our services are free.
