About the job

As an employee of the quality department, you carry the duty for the very last check on the finished products before it will be sent to the customer.
MGG in Nieuw-Bergen works with the casted parts that are made in other locations such as Tegelen and Stahlhofen. Their goal is to perform the quality check of the parts that have arrived. Quality check contains more than just visual check. As a quality controller at MGG you will perform leak test, final assembly and final quality check of the aluminium parts before they will be transported to the costomer. In addition to machinal work, you will also perform washing, mounting and testing the tightness of the products we make.

The activities are variously heavy and light, and repetitive. We are talking about small and large aluminum products. Lifting a large product requires some physical strength, but the recovery work on the part itself is light physical work. So the heavy part of your duty is lifting large products.

Here are some activities that this positions includes:

  • Performing visual checks on the castings;
  • Performing leak tests in accordance with work instructions;
  • Repairing products with the small hand tools;
  • Making assembly on the casted parts;
  • Products packaging according to the customer's guidelines;

The quality department works in 2 shifts and the working times are:
Early shift:
Monday to Thursday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm;
Friday 6:00 am - 1:30 pm;

Late shift
Monday to Thursday 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM;
Friday 1:30 PM - 9:00 PM;

You are ready to work in 3 shifts. In the future it is possible that this department will switch from 2-shift to a 3-shift schedule.

What we offer

What can you expect from us:

  • Salary of €14.31 gross per hour.
    We pay €12.34 gross p/h (for 21+ years) with an additional 16% shift work allowance (2 shifts);
  • A steady job for 39 hours a week (full time);
  • Travel allowance of €0.19 per kilometer (maximum 100 km per day);
  • An opportunity to stay for a longer period of time if you perform well(permanent work);
  • A warm welcome with a presentation and a tour with instructions on your first working day;

If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
