About the job

For our client Xella we are looking for operators for the saw department or the pressing plant in Koningsbosch (near Echt, Roermond).
Xella is a German company with few locations in the Netherlands. The Xella sand-lime brick factory is located in Koningsbosch, where the entire production process takes place.

In the sawmill department, the sand-lime bricks are cut to size according to the customer's wishes. This happens partly with older machines and partly with robot-controlled machines. As an operator, you are responsible for ensuring that this runs smoothly.

Job requirements

What we ask of you:

That you have a technical diploma similar level as MBO 3 / MBO 4;
That you are willing and ready to work in 3 shifts;
That you are available full-time (36.25 hours);
That you take safety rules seriously and don't lose you focus of it while working;
That you quickly recognize problems and solve them decisively;
That you have VCA or are willing to get it;
If you have Vapro B in your possession. This is an advantage;

About the company

At Xella you will work in one of the market leaders in the field of sand-lime brick and cellon concrete. Xella products are shipped all over the world for use. Xella is closed during the construction period and the last 2 weeks of the year. During the period, a mandatory closure applies.

What we offer

We offer you a good full-time position in 3 shifts, with career opportunities. Initially, you will get a temporary contract, but it is possible to get a permanent employment at Xella in the future.

The hourly wage starts from € 14.20. Next to this great salary, you will receive 20% shift work allowance.
You will get 25 vacation days and 8.33% holiday pay, of which 0.33% will be paid with your monthly salary. You will also receive a periodic salary increase based on your performance. Travel costs allowance is included.

Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
