Our client is looking to fill an open (contractor) position and is searching for a strongly independent scientist with good communication skills. You will be working in close collaboration with several disciplines such as manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply chain and Analytical S&T.
This client is tasked with globally facilitating operational excellence and compliance on these products, reducing operational costs, guaranteeing reliable supply and customer service in changing conditions, and joining forces with the Development department for innovative improvements.
In addition, the client is also tasked with providing access to these products in Emerging Markets via Technology Transfer. The implementation and improvement of pharmaceutical production at local manufacturing sites requires technical experience as well as communication skills to connect with diverse internal departments, Contract Research Organizations (CRO) and Third Party Manufacturers (TPM).

The person we're looking for will be responsible for maximizing product quality in an efficient and timely manner. The focus will be on supporting their oral pharmaceutical products. Preferably you already have the experience of working in a pharmaceutical production environment and in working with a tablect machine.

Job requirements

  • MSc or PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or food technology;
  • At least 5 years of experience with various aspects of manufacturing in a relevant operational or technical support environment (experience with technology transfer, quality systems, costs of goods assessment, unit operation expertise, connecting material attributes with product performance);
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting;
  • Good reporting skills, both technical reports and (regulatory) CMC docs;
  • Able to communicate at various levels with professionals with different expertise;
  • Experience with Lean/Six-Sigma methodologies highly desirable (Green belt level or higher);
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Dutch highly desirable.

Yes, we are a member of ABU: the branch organization of the temporary employment sector. This organization guarantees that its members act according to the Dutch law.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
