For this full-time job, we are recruiting for the position of warehouse employees / logistiek medewerker / orderpicker at this brand-new warehouse / magazijn..

As a logistiek medewerker / warehouse employee /magazijnmedewerker your tasks can be the following:

  • The trucks that are arriving need to be unloaded and all the new products need to be taken out of the trailer. The products are mostly stored on pallets.
  • You can also be responsible for the quality control of the incoming good and check if the products do not have any damages and to makes sure that nothing is missing.
  • Lining up the products and transporting them to the right storage location.
  • Picking orders with the help of a hand scanner.
  • Making products ready for shipment.
  • Driving with the EPT.
  • Packing products that need to be shipped.
  • Final checks on the products that are leaving the warehouse.

Because of the high number of products that are coming in and out of the warehouse, they are working in a 2 shift system. This means that the working times are from 6:00 - 15:00 (first shift) and the second shift is from 15:00 - 00:00. It is required that you are able to work both shift. One week the early shift and the week after that the late shift. Workdays are from Monday to Friday and sometimes there is overtime on the weekend.

Job requirements

We are looking for a magazijnmedewerker / logistiek medewerker / warehouse employees with a positive mindset and who is eager to start at this new warehouse!

  • For this job it is important that you are physically fit and that you are able to do the work in the warehouse. This means that you are able to walk and stand an entire workday and that you are able to move the boxes. The products that you are handling are products that can be bought at garden centers but also al kinds of products for pets.
  • If you have worked as a warehouse employee before than you have a great advantage.
  • It is important that you can communicate on a fluent level in the English. This is very important to make sure that the teamwork is as good a possible.
  • You can work in the early and in the late shifts. (ploegendienst). Just one of these shifts is not possible.
  • Start People do NOT offer accommodation or transport, these are things that you have to arrange yourself.

About the company

The partner of Start People for this job is IDL. And in their new warehouse in Den Bosch they are servicing their client Intratuin. In the warehouse you will encounter all kinds of products that are sold at garden centers but also al kinds of products for pets.

It is important that you have your own transport to get to Den Bosch. It is easy to reach from Oss, Tilburg, Uden, Kaatsheuvel en Waalwijk and the surrounding area by car. .

What we offer

We offer you an exciting challenge in this new warehouse!

  • The gross (Bruto) salary is €10,98 per hour untill 18:00. After 18:00 the salary increases to €13,18.
  • If you work fulltime, you will have a salary around €1,700,- netto
  • When you live more than 10 kilometers away from the workplace you will receive travel expenses.
  • 8,33 % holiday money and 25 holidays per year.

If you work via Start People it is possible to, I some cases,  use one of our collective health insurance policies. However, if you want to stay in The Netherlands for a longer period of time, we advise you to arrange health insurance yourself.  
Some companies we work with only offer day shifts, but the most companies offer several shifts (morning-, day and night shifts). It is often not possible to work structurally in one specific shift.
Unfortunately, one of these three languages is required to find a job via Start People. It is important that you can communicate with our colleagues and your manager at work.
Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
In The Netherlands, it is not allowed to charge money for job placement services. Therefore, our services are free.
