Everyone knows the company, Media Markt! Media Markt has many stores in the Netherlands, all products in the stores must first go through the logistics process. Would you like to contribute to Media Markt's logistics process and ensure that all Media Markt stores and customers receive their orders on time every day? Then quickly read this vacancy!

As a logistics employee you are part of a team of motivated warehouse employees. Together you ensure that the various stores of the customer are stocked on time. This applies to all Media Markt stores in the Netherlands, as the only Media Markt warehouse is located on location in Etten-Leur. As soon as the products have been brought in by the supplier, you and your team will divide the articles over various pallets. Once ready, you ensure that they are packed in plastic and that a colleague prepares the product for transport using an EPT.

For this position it is a bonus if you are in possession of valid certificates for, for example, the EPT and reach truck, but you can also fulfill this function without these certificates. If you do not have any certificates, you will pick the order by means of a hand scanner or you will be trained on the EPT.

The work is in two shifts, the shift times differ per department, below is an overview of the different times:

  • 06:00- 15:00/ 15:00- 00:00.
  • 08:00 - 17:00/ 13:00- 22:00.
  • 07:00- 16:00/ 16:00- 01:00.

About the company

You will be working for the company ID Logistics on location in Etten-Leur. ID Logistics has several locations in the Netherlands.
At the location in Etten-Leur they take care of the logistics process for two customers, namely Media Markt and Emesa, Emesa is better known as Vakantieveilingen. These two warehouses are separate from each other, so you will only support Media Markt's logistics process.

Ettenleur is easily accessible from Roosendaal, Breda and Rotterdam. At the workplace there is an informal working atmosphere and you will work in a team full of pleasant and enthusiastic colleagues.

What we offer

We can offer the following:

  • A gross hourly wage of €10.98 (excluding allowances);
  • If you are in possession of valid certificates, a gross hourly wage of €11.53 (excluding allowances);
  • After 18:00 a surcharge of 20% and after 00:00 a surcharge of 40%. On Sunday you will receive 150%.
  • Training on, for example, an EPT or Reachtruck;
  • Travel allowance from 10 KM one way with a maximum of €6.42 per day;
  • Work for at least phase A, 78 worked weeks;
  • With good performance, there is a good chance of a permanent employment at ID Logistics (IDL already took over 80 flex workers last year!)

Yes, we are a member of ABU: the branch organization of the temporary employment sector. This organization guarantees that its members act according to the Dutch law.

Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
