For Mauser Benelux B.V. in Oosterhout we are looking for a motivated and flexible production employee who is available during the weekend. You care about quality and you like to roll up your sleeves to ensure a good result.

As a production employee during the weekend at Mauser in Oosterhout, you are the person who ensures that the barrels are transported to the customer with the right quality. You will work in a large production hall, where you will work together with other production employees and operators. In addition, you can determine yourself which times you are available for work, by informing us of your weekend availability.

Your work will consist of:

  • turning lids and caps;
  • Knocking off the flaps of the plastic drums;
  • Stacking the barrels on pallets;
  • Responsible for barrel quality control;
  • Daily cleaning activities in the production hall;
  • Eliminate minor faults on the machine.

Job requirements

Do you meet the following requirements? Then we are looking for you!

  • You have technical insight and preferably experience in a production environment;
  • You master the Dutch or English language;
  • You are available immediately;
  • You can be deployed flexibly during the weekend in the morning, afternoon and night shifts;
  • You are physically able to tackle heavy work;
  • Working in a changing climate is no problem for you;
  • You have your own transport to get to the location in Oosterhout.

About the company

Mauser Benelux BV belongs to the Mauser Group and is one of the largest European producers of hollow plastic products. Mauser produces cans, barrels and other hollow products using the extrusion blow molding process. The drums are used in the chemical industry, among other things, for acids, agricultural pesticides and basic raw materials for the rubber paint and plastic industry. In addition, the produced barrels are also used in hospitals, at the moment those requests are very high because of Corona.

During the summer you will work in high temperatures, to cool down a bit you will receive a nice cool drink or ice cream from Mauser during this period. In winter, on the other hand, it is a nice temperature to work, so wearing a thick coat is not necessary here. During the breaks you can take a walk outside or enjoy a tasty sandwich and cup of coffee in the canteen.

What we offer

If you become our new weekend production employee, we can offer you the following:

  • An hourly wage of €17.69 gross per hour, including the shift allowance of 28%;
  • The possibility to determine your own schedule;
  • In case of overtime a surcharge of 50%;
  • Kilometer allowance;
  • One year contract with a view to extension;
  • A holiday allowance of 8.33%.

Yes, you can choose between a weekly or a 4-weekly payment of your salary.
If you want to work in The Netherlands, you should be able to arrage your own transportation. Also, traveling together with other people is not preferred due to the flexibility you need for several jobs. 
Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
In The Netherlands, it is not allowed to charge money for job placement services. Therefore, our services are free.
