About the position
As a kok, you will contribute to creating an exceptional culinary experience in our Indian and Ceylonese restaurant in Hilversum. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. With your knowledge of basic cooking techniques and HACCP guidelines, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow, even during busy moments.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare: ensure all ingredients and tools are ready for an efficient workflow.
- Cook: create dishes according to recipes while maintaining taste, quality, and presentation.
- Organize: manage inventory, place orders, and minimize waste effectively.
- Maintain: keep the kitchen and equipment clean and handle minor repairs independently.
- Guide: support and train junior team members while ensuring a smooth workflow during peak times.

Job Requirements
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented cook who thrives in a dynamic kitchen and values teamwork and quality.
- MBO level 3 education in hospitality or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in basic cooking techniques and HACCP guidelines.
- Fluent in Dutch or English, with strong communication skills.
- Experience in inventory management and resolving minor equipment issues.
- Demonstrates initiative and maintains quality under pressure.
