About the position
As a Overhead Crane Operator, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our production process at Scheuten Glas in Venlo. Your role involves handling heavy large flat glass plates with precision and ensuring they are safely and efficiently moved to the right locations. Working in a clean, modern, and safety-first environment, you’ll collaborate closely with your team to maintain a seamless workflow. 3-shift times: 8.00 - 16.00 pm, 16.00 - 24.00 pm and 24.00 - 8.00 am.
Scheuten Glas is situated nearby Highway Duisburg - Eindhoven (B40/ A67) and is relatively easy to reach from example Viersen, Mönchengladbach, Nettetal Venray and Roermond.
You will be responsible for:
- Operate the overhead crane to safely transport heavy, big glassplates (up to 6 meters x 3.15 meters) within the factory and warehouse.
- Place glass plates vertically onto storage racks - named "bok"- with precision and care.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining situational awareness.
- In the future: learn additional skills, with the potential to support as a Backup Process Operator on the coating department.
