About the position
As a logistics employee at GLS in Utrecht, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our logistics hub. You’ll be part of a dynamic team, ensuring packages are handled efficiently and safely while meeting our quality and safety standards. This role offers a hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential. No prior experience? No problem! We’ll provide you with the necessary training to succeed.
What You Will Do:
- Handle goods: loading, unloading, scanning, sorting, and restacking items, including mini’s and NOCO’s.
- Operate tools: work with equipment like hand pallet trucks or electric pallet trucks (EPTs).
- Inspect packages: check for irregularities, including hazardous materials (ADR), and report findings.
- Maintain standards: follow quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as outlined in the staff handbook.
- Contribute to the workspace: ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment while addressing and reporting deviations to the team leader.
What we offer
- Salary of approximately €3,000 per month (including allowances and based on a 40 hour workweek)
- Holiday pay
- Allowances from 8,75% till 11,25%
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer
- Part-time position with flexible working hours
- Training for the use of electric pallet trucks (EPT)This makes the role well-suited for combining with studies, family, or other commitments.
Job Requirements
- MBO 2 work and thinking level.
- Proficiency in Dutch or English.
- EPT certificate is a plus.
- No prior experience required; training provided.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
