About the job

Project Engineer Support shall keep engineering projects on time and on a budget, as well as execute activities such as procurement, manufacturing, factory integration, systems delivery, on site installation and commissioning. Project Engineer Support shall be responsible for the daily running of engineering process. Project Engineer Support will work closely with other levels of management such us business development teams, supporting service level agreements with customers, and supporting project engineers in a daily basis.

 Purchasing execution managing direct contact with providers on a request for quotation process.
 Purchase order requests issuance as per internal standards, rules and templates.
 Daily purchase orders status follow-up.
 Daily estimated time of arrival time follow-up on the purchased equipment.
 Assembled cabinets and racks test.
 System components configuration: sensors, communications devices, dataloggers, servers, workstations, etc.
 Configuration management documents generation.
 Control of the traceability.
 Factory mock-up installation.
 Support project engineers on testing the system.
 Generate a labeling plan for the system.
 Hardware packing and unpacking.
 Support logistic department on packing list generation.
 Support logistic department on shipment control and monitoring.
 On site mechanical installation capabilities.
 On site integrations.
 Electrical connections and check.
 Communication connections and check.
 Troubleshooting capabilities during commissioning phase of projects.
 Support the transition of the systems to operational.
 Test the system on site.

Job requirements

Advance skills:
 AutoCAD tool handling.
 Junior profile. Some previous work experience on industry business will be a plus.
 Grade in engineering/MBO.
 Aviation specific experience is not a job, requirement, but will be a plus.

Other skills:
 Driving license
 Support project team meets deadlines at each stage of the process.
 Maintaining a clean health and safety record and overseeing the resolution of any problems.
 Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 Familiarized with projects lifecycle.
 Teamwork
 English fluent.
 Dutch and/or Spanish will be a plus.
 Availability to travel.

Unfortunately, Start People does not offer housing. If you wish to work for Start People, you need to arrange housing in the Netherlands or in the Dutch border area.

If you have the intention to stay in the Netherlands for more than four months, you must register in the personal records database of the city you live in. To do this, go to the town hall of the city where you are going to live. You will then receive a citizen service number (BSN). With this number, your employer can register you, for example, at the Tax Authorities/ Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies can also ask you for your BSN. For more information, visit the website of the City where you live or visit www.burgerservicenummer.nl.

If you intend to stay in the Netherlands for less than four months, registration in to the personal record database is not obligated. If you still want a citizen service number, you must register in the personal record database of the city you live in. 

We can help you make an appointment to get your BSN number, but you must go to the appointment yourself. 
You need a valid ID, BSN number on an original document from either the Tax Authorities or City (Hall) you are registered in, and a European bank account number (IBAN) in your name.
In The Netherlands, it is not allowed to charge money for job placement services. Therefore, our services are free.
