About the position
Are you ready for a new challenge in the fresh outdoor environment of Haarlem? As a refuse collector, you will play a hands-on role in creating a cleaner and more sustainable city. Your work will directly contribute to the efficient and safe processing of waste streams, testing your physical fitness and adaptability. With a supportive team, you’ll help make a tangible impact while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.
What You Will Do:
- Sort: you will separate waste streams such as paper, cardboard, glass, PMD, and residual waste.
- Assist: you will support the driver in safely and efficiently completing the routes.
- Maintain: you will perform minor maintenance and cleaning tasks on vehicles and materials.
- Report: you will identify and report defects or irregularities during your work.
- Collaborate: you will work closely with a friendly team to contribute to a greener future.

- Monthly salary between €2,446.44 and €2,600.
- Temporary contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
- 25 vacation days plus 8.33% holiday allowance.
- Travel allowance for commuting expenses.

Job Requirements
We are looking for an energetic team player with a hands-on mentality to join our mission for a cleaner and more sustainable Haarlem.
- Valid category B driving license
- Proficiency in Dutch language
- Willingness to obtain a VCA certificate
- Good physical condition
- Flexibility in working hours
