As an operator you will be part of the production department of a foundry produces iron counterweights for instance for manufacturers for forklifts and mobile cranes. The production process starts in the molding department where the forms are prepared for the foundry where liquid is poured into the molds. After the castings have cooled they are removed from the mold and prepared for the bast cabinet and after this there is a final preparation with tools and a check for quality before the product is ready for international customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Production: manage the molding process, preparing forms for the foundry department and ensuring the highest quality of work.
  • Foundry operations: handle liquid iron with care, pouring it into molds and overseeing the cooling process for optimal results.
  • Finishing: meticulously remove castings from molds and prepare them for the blast cabinet, focusing on precision and safety.
  • Quality control: conduct thorough final checks post-blast cabinet to guarantee that products meet our stringent standards before dispatch.

Job Requirements

Seeking a hands-on, industrious production worker with a technical background.

  • Full-time availability and looking for long term employment.
  • Hands-on experience with tools, metal industry preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • A good command of the English language (Dutch is a plus).
  • You have your own accommodation and transport.
  • Flexible, proactive attitude essential.

You will work at a foundry in the area Nijmegen that produces iron weights. Here you will be part of a company with about 40 employees whose history goes back to the 19th century. The products can be found at various customers in both Europe and worldwide! The location is easily accessible from cities such as Arnhem, Tiel, Oss or even German cities such as Kleve or Goch.
