In this role, you’ll learn to work with the fire assay technique, a method used worldwide to analyze metals. Sounds complicated? Don’t worry: you’ll be guided step by step until you master the process. Together with your team, you’ll ensure that analyses are performed accurately and safely. You’ll work in a modern laboratory environment in a fixed two-shift system (06:00 - 14:30 and 14:30 - 23:00, so no night shifts!).Your main tasks:
- Carefully weigh and prepare raw materials (such as metal or ore samples) according to precise formulas
- Mix and melt samples to separate and analyze metals using the fire assay technique
- Safely operate laboratory equipment, including furnaces and precision balances
- Accurately record and verify analytical results in the system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Wat we je bieden
- A gross hourly wage of €16.28, including a 13% shift allowance (approx. €2,831 per month full-time)
- Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer
- A temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent position

Functie-eisen
- You speak English fluently (Dutch is a plus)
- You can travel independently to the work location in Spijkenisse (no public transport available nearby)
- You are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and follow safety procedures carefully
- You are able to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) if required
- Due to legal safety regulations related to lead exposure, this position is only open to men

You’ll be joining an international laboratory specialized in metal analysis. Using advanced technologies, the company delivers reliable results to clients around the world, with safety, precision, and quality always at the core of its operations.
The team consists of around 25 colleagues working in shifts. The working language is English, and you’ll receive thorough training and continuous guidance.
